A Patron of the Arts????

I am now officially a Patron of the Arts.
In my spring cleaning frenzy I decided after the roadshows I would get rid of my rather tattered looking silk Ficus Trees. So yesterday I got them loaded up and took them down the Empress Theatre. Notice how it is spelled with the "re?" That's how us Patrons in the 'Know' do it.
Actually that's how it's spelled, but I had you going there for a bit didn't I?
They were happy to get the 15 year old trees and I talked with them a bit about calling if they needed any floral design work done. After all "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" is on the summer schedule. Plus they want first dibbs on my DI donations.
Monday night the family came with Lila and I to see their production of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dream Coat". It was sold out!! Partly because there were 16 of us and we filled up the lobby when we all came in.
It was so FUN!! I'd never ever seen it before though I was familiar with some of the music. I think I liked it so much because of the kids I know that were in the production. Wade Hohlbach was hilarious as the Butler, biker caravan leader and innkeeper (it's still a small performing arts group). Courtney Heywood and Adam McKinley were also in it and they did great too. While I was there I also saw Michael Lemmon....who got his Mission Call Wenesday to the Knoxville Tennesee Mission.
All in all it was a terrific way to have Family Home Evening but not at home. The play runs every Monday, Friday & Saturday nights at 7pm til April 14th For showtimes call the Box Office at 347-7373.
Us Patron's shamelessly plug our pet projects too.

I am Blessed

with amazing friends and fabulous family!! When I got to Provo there was a note and a plate of thickly frosted Double Dutch Chocolate Cake from Cami at my spot. She had baked a completely Gluten Free Cake and brought it so I could have a treat to eat along with everyone else. How super cool is that? She said the mix she found makes 4 single layers. How neat is that when you can make something small enough that one person doesn't snack on it for a whole month. Best of all though is it actuallly TASTES just like what I remember normal cake tastes like. Others agreed too.
Then Janalee brought me a lovely large Chocolate Chip Cookie that was Gluten Free too! She always brings me something when she knows we will be working on stuff together. Gotta Love her. I snacked on it on the way home until I hit the horrible wind snow fog slick roads coming round Point of the Mountain.
So this morning for breakfast I had Chocolate Cake and milk and for lunch I'm having the rest of my cookie and cheesey broccoli soup.

Not Another One

Maybe this is the same migraine I had on Friday. It seemed to be gone when I woke up on Saturday so I joined in the fun with Natalie, Patty, Lisa and Trudie at Heartfelt. But by 8:45 it was back and I tried to keep going but by 9:30 I was having the whole auora thing going on and I knew if I didn't get home soon I wouldn't be able to see well enough to drive home. I took some Immetrex when I got home and went straight to bed.
Unfortunately it didn't go away this time. I headed downstairs with the fan because it's Sunday and of course it's nice outside today so the gun club started in just a bit after I woke up. Thank goodness it's closed now but I still have the pounding head thing going on. One good thing though I can actually feel my hair grow when I have them.
Last night while I was still functioning I met my Middle Sis's new sister in law. It was pretty funny but the minute she said her fiancee was Mark Hirz I started to crack up. She will be Jac's SIL sometime this summer and then Jac will have 2 SIL named Tara. Then she'll know what I've gone thru. The newest Tara seems really nice and she's a scrapper so already she meets my approval plus she was wearing all pink so what's not to like? Apparently she and Mark met online at LDS Singles. That's the 4th couple I personally know of now.

Froggy Photos

As you can see my scanner is now working. I've finally gotten those last professional shots of the Frog scanned in and saved. There are a couple of the 2 of us that I still need to take from the frames and scan them. What an great treasure having these has been. Of course I've been a bit weepy since I opened the folder but you gotta love that cheesey grin of his.
