I have lots of little elves in my life right now. I went out to shovel the mountains of snow from the driveway and the next thing I know helpers magically appear. Did I mention we got about 5 inches just today?
The Highway behind the house was so slow this morning and the snow was falling so fast I could barely see the cars! Unfortunately, I could still hear them.
We are supposed to get hit again tonite so good thing I stocked up the other day.
Sam also lifted thr old TV into the back of the FIT....off to the DI it goes. I'm taking it to the 4700 S 4000 West Store incase you need a 27" TV that takes 10 minutes for the picture tube to warm up enought to make out the outline. Remote is included. LOL
It turns out that I didn't need to load up my chairs, one of the young fellow's in the neighbourhood is getting married and is not above a bit of begging. I'm so glad to get rid of them I hope he and his bride get some good use from them. They are very comfy but also very bulky.
I found out the other day that it was BIL Hal who brought me the rose on Valentine's Day. How sweet is that? He said he would have taken one to Teresa too but He can't figure out where it is that she works..... so Mom & I got them. And here I was giving Djinni all the credit...she and the girls dropped by a card and so did Tami and the kids. I also got Valentine's from the younger girls in the ward. Nice to be remembered.
I'm thinking about getting off my duff and getting the basement finished so I can rent it out or something.
I also talked with LA about becoming a Foster Mom or short term Shelter mom. Just Ideas I'm kicking around. I did some research and it doesn't pay well at all but I wouldn't be lonely nor bored with folks in and out.
Thanks Hal! It was really sweet of you.

Sisters
My SIL sent me this this morning.
Sisters
After more than 50 years of living in this world, here is what I've learned: THIS SAYS IT ALL: Time passes. way too fast! Life happens. Distance separates. Children grow up. With any luck! Jobs come and go. Got that right! Love waxes and wanes. (daily)Men don't do what they're supposed to do. Amen to that! :-)Hearts break., and mend Parents die. Colleagues forget favors. Careers end. BUT.........

Sisters are there, no matter how much time and how many miles are between you. A girl friend that is never farther away than needing her can reach. When you have to walk that lonesome valley and you have to walk it by yourself, the women in your life will be on the valley's rim, cheering you on, praying for you, pulling for you, intervening on your behalf, and waiting with open arms at the valley's end. Sometimes, they will even break the rules and walk beside you...Or come in and carry you out.
Girlfriends, daughters, granddaughters, daughters-in-law, sisters, sisters-in-law, Mothers, Grandmothers, aunties, nieces, cousins, and extended family, all bless our life! The world wouldn't be the same without women, and neither would I.
When we began this adventure called womanhood, we had no idea of the incredible joys or sorrows that lay ahead. Nor did we know how much we would need each other. Every day, we need each other still. Pass this on to all the women who help make your life meaningful.

The Dream Home
Every year for the past 9 years I've entered to win the HGTV Dream Ho
me and failed. This year I'm crossing my fingers and toes that I win. Not only does the house come with all the bells and whistles you also win all the furniture, a car and cash. They even make a matching dog house and give that away as well. This year I entered online and only sent a few by mail. The last few years I've bought a package of index cards, a roll of stamps and handwritten everything on it and mailed a few a day through out the contest dates, along with my online entries.

The floor plan is ok but the colours of the furniture is icky. So I will win and take Little Sis with me to see it. Then it will go on the auction block and I'll be set for life. She can have the car! LOL
This year it is in Colorado and is on a ski slope. Fun for some I guess but not fat folk like me. It would be a great place for a scrapbook retreat though. Maybe there is my new business?

Here It Comes Again!
Here it comes again.... woke up to world of white and still coming down though it's not sticking much to the roads yet. Thank goodness.
We've had such a beautiful few days I guess we paid no attention to the fact it is still only February. The joke is on us.
I've had a very hard time watching the news over the last few days. The other night a man shot up the mall at Trolley Square downtown. He hurt and killed alot of people. Five people are dead and there were several taken to the hospital. An 18 year old had a shotgun and a handgun and died in a shootout with police. No one knows why he did it, or why he picked Trolley Square. An off duty Ogden cop was there and he got alot of people out of harms way then confronted the shooter along with a few other police but I guess it was quite awhile B4 they got everyone out. Totally Creepy.

Tanked Up!!
Just put 6 whole gallons of gasoline in the Smurf-Mobile. Can I just say WooHoo!! only $12.25!! Not only that but I'm getting 27.2mpg.
I'm so excited! That's almost double the van's.
Once I get a few more miles on it and the engine gets broken in I should be getting even better than that. I'll have to change the name from "Smurf-Mobile" to "Lightening McQueen" LOL

The "Smurf-mobile"

This is my new way fun Honda FIT Sport !!
How cute is that?
The colour is Vivid Pearl Blue.
It's brand spanky new and all mine. In fact I got last one currently available in the entire state of Utah. At least for the next 6 to 8 weeks when 10 more are scheduled to arrive and none of them are in cut colours LOL I completely totally adore it. I never bought a new car B4. It even has that new car smell.
I did all my research and talked with the bank about loans and boring ick stuff like that. I test drove every one of the top 10 in it's class. I super really liked the Dodge Caliber but it was more money and they only had boring black or even more boring white. The Smurf-mobile has instant character! Plus it ranked #1 out of 10 in Car & Driver and Consumer Reports so I'm feeling pretty good about my purchase and best of all the seats fold up and down and all round so I can fit just about anything I care to fit in my FIT.
Sounds like Dr Zuess.......

Oh what can you FIT in your new little FIT?
A Bike and a Trike or 3 little tikes,
It's litttle and cute but not cramped, has all the saftey features like side curtain air bags and weird stuff that people tell you to worry about. Lots of bells and whistles...what do you need with a 6 CD changer anyway? You can only listen to one at a time but it's got it. It's also got super good re-sell value because it is a Honda and it's the best on gas of all the ones I've driven. It's sure different from my van. Nothing rattles or makes noise, it's so quiet..... and if I do want to pull over and sleep the front seats recline all the way to match up with the back ones and make a bed. How cool is that?
